Duncan Bellamy (b. Cambridge, UK, 1986) is a multidisciplinary artist based in London. His diverse practice encompasses painting, silkscreen, photography, sound and music. He studied Fine Art at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and is a founding member of Mercury Prize nominated Portico Quartet. Terrain (Extended) – Live in Studio One which was recorded at Abbey Road is perhaps the clearest distillation of the ensembles work to date.
Other collaborations include an album of sonic-poetry with author/sound artist Belinda Zhawi (MA.MOYO) as BZDB titled Jump Ship, Sit Lean, Be Still, Stand Tall released in November 2024 on AD93 Records and sound work with the artist Hannah Collins for her audio-visual installation I Will Make Up A Song And Sing It In A Theatre With The Night Air Above My Head, which explores the work of pioneering Egyptian architect Hassan Fathy. It has been exhibited at SFMOMA, San Francisco as well as Tapies Foundation, Barcelona.
